Our Commitment, Our Children, Our Concern
The Philadelphia Chapter of Continental Societies, Inc. is a dedicated service organization focused on empowering underserved children and youth in the region.
The Philadelphia Chapter of Continental Societies, Inc.® stands proudly as one of the four original founding groups whose vision and service in 1956 helped establish the national organization. Our chapter was birthed in 1952 through the vision and dedication of Philadelphia women committed to uplifting underserved children and youth—a legacy we continue to honor today.”
The Philadelphia Chapter is part of the Eastern Region of Continental Societies, Inc.®, a national and international public service organization founded in 1956 and incorporated in 1972. Continental Societies Inc. is composed of over 51 chapters across the United States, the District of Columbia, and Bermuda. Its mission centers on improving the socioeconomic and cultural welfare of children, especially those from underserved communities.
The Philadelphia Chapter—operates under the Continental Societies Inc. umbrella and is committed to the national initiative known as H.E.E.R. plus Arts and Humanities:
• Health
• Education
• Employment
• Recreation
• Arts and Humanities
Through this initiative, the Philadelphia Chapter serves children and youth with programs that promote literacy, health awareness, cultural enrichment, and leadership development. The chapter is known for its community engagement, educational outreach, and youth-focused events, often collaborating with local schools and organizations to maximize impact.
